EVE Energy's LF560K battery cell and the CTT (Cell to TWh) solution

In the field of electrochemical energy storage, the increase in cell capacity has become an industry trend. Many companies have launched cell products with a capacity of over 300Ah, such as Guoxuan High-Tech and Sunwoda. EVE Energy has introduced the innovative LF560K cell, with a capacity of 560Ah, leading the development of large cell technology.

In addition to the innovation at the cell level, EVE Energy has also introduced the system-level CTT technology (Cell to TWh) to better match the evolution of cells towards higher capacity. The LF560K cell has dimensions of 35272205mm, with a single cell capacity of up to 1.792kWh and a cycle life of over 12,000 times. It uses a lamination technology that effectively solves the problems of electronic conductivity and manufacturability in large cells.

The CTT solution based on the LF560K cell has significant advantages. Its assembly method is 1 in series and 24 in parallel, with compact dimensions, a nominal voltage of 76.8V, a total energy of 43kWh, and an energy density as high as 134.4Wh/kg. Compared with the traditional LF280K battery, the use of LF560K batteries can reduce the number of cells by 50%, simplify the number of Pack components by 47%, and increase production efficiency by 30%. In addition, by optimizing the cluster-level dimensions, the container's energy can be increased by 6.5%, reducing the customer's usage cost.

Although large cell technology brings many advantages, there are also potential risks. Companies should pay attention to its safety and stability while pursuing large-capacity cells. From the perspective of the healthy development of the industry, the policy level may impose technical constraints and restrictions on the large capacity of cells. Therefore, companies should weigh the pros and cons when developing large cell technology to ensure the sustainable development of the technology.
