The history of German Rainbow Audio began in 1984 when Paul Jelko, an electroacoustics expert, decided to create a high-quality automotive audio system in response to the poor quality of car audio systems available at that time. Paul Jelko and his team of mechanical and electronic engineers started out by researching and testing various materials to find the best combination for use in speakers.

Paul Jelko founded the International Automotive Sound Council (IASCA) and became

its vice president and technical director.This organization aimed to promote

and development in new energy area , contributing solutions to clean energy solutions.
